Bill Cook

Bill Cook began his new position in May, 1997 as the UP District Forester for MSU Extension. Bill works with the private landowners, forest industry, schools, and the natural resource community to implement forestry education programs across the UP. Bill comes to the UP from the Red Lake Indian Reservation in northern MN where he worked for seven years. He has degrees in forestry, wildlife management, biology, and resource management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and a master's degree in forestry from the State University of New York's College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY. Bill also has international experience in Germany, Great Britain, and southeast Asia. cookwi@msu.edu
